We've had a good couple of days running, ending today with a very hard 20miler . We managed it in just under 4hrs. Our climb rate was average 148 feet per mile and a total climb of 2822 feet. Surprisingly i felt very good at the end, i don't think japser felt to bad either. We've covered a number of miles over the past week i estimate we've done about 80 - 90 miles and included one hell of a lot of mountain climbs. The next two days are rest days, then it's back to it. Supposed to be doing a 10k cross country run Sunday 7th, i don't mind doing it i just feel it interrupts my distance training, what to do............

Bloody Shift Work
Just entered the Snowdonia 2010 marathon. I'm having a hard time trying to find an event in march / April, the events i want to enter are on the weekends I'm working. I'm going to enter the Big Black Mountains Challenge in May, so suppose I'll just have to focus on recce's for that and the Lakeland 50. I've got a cross country run event on Sunday 24th Jan (west glamorgan cross country league), it's 5 miles, should be fun, wonder how I'll do?

Snow day
Went out at 630 this morning for a two hour run on the mountains, great fun. I don't normally do early morning runs but the wife was supposed to be on a course all day for work and i had the baby, after spending the day running around after my 18month old daughter don't normally have the energy for any further exercise. When i got in at 830 she told me the course as cancelled because of the snow, great news, i had time for a sausage toasty, build a snowman for the baby (which jasper cocked his leg up on) and go for a further hour and half run on the mountain

Lakeland 50
Just entered the lakeland 50. I've never been to the lake district before, so i imagine lots of visits to the area. I'll be doing my first run since brecon tomorrow, plan is to have some quality running time with jasper on the mountain.
Quick note to daymion, if your reading this, thanks for your help in brecon, all the best in Australia and see you at snowdonia next year.
